ABSTRACT
Over the last few decades, much attention has been gained by nano-based medicines and omics-based technologies, although the nano delivery of drugs using different techniques and omics developments are two different aspects. Evaluating and assessing the importance of the interrelationship between biological food elements with the physiological system of the body in the context of omics will be of great help in understanding the disease pattern and its prevention. The term "omics" was invented by Hans Winkler in 1920 and derived from the term genome. The word genomics implies some hidden network among genetic elements. This network is regulated by many other omics such as proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and physiomics. Since Hippocrates, it has been well recognized that nutrition plays a very significant role in health maintenance and people have been recommended to consider "food intake as a real medicine". Genomics is the study of an organism's genome or genetic material.
