ABSTRACT

When discussing computers, we o¤en hear comments such as “I use a Windows machine,” or “I like Linux,” or “my Macintosh runs OS X,” or “Windows 7 seems more reliable than Windows Vista.” Similarly, various computer users or salespeople may tout the advantages of Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux, or Mac OS X. Unfortunately, such statements o¤en dwell on esoteric details, reºect subjective personal preferences, or involve lengthy technical discussions.
