ABSTRACT

Business transformation often involves a change of, the corporate culture which may lead to a misinterpretation of corporate signals and values, and a shift in power structures, both of which may entail serious constraints to the success of a business transformation unless adequately managed. Transformation projects usually impact on a company's different sets of resources, including organizational, financial, and human resources. Business transformation is likely to gain sufficient acceptance if core members of the organization can be united behind the initiative and empowered to act towards project milestones. The majority of transformation projects continue to fail due to non-technical reasons such as non-acceptance of the new solution, skill problems, communication problems or problems with project resources. The stakeholder management step is one of the integral parts of the organizational change management strategy. Talent development is concerned with ensuring that all required competencies and skills are available within the organization.
