ABSTRACT
An example of an oriented polymer grid, the Tensar CRl geogrid, is shown in Figure 4.2. It is available in 3.5 m wide rolls, 50 m long. It is lightweight and completely corrosion resistant. The high strength ribs connected by strong integral junctions achieve bond with the concrete by means of mechanical interlock through the grid apertures. This allows the grid to distribute stresses and provides cost effective crack control in many areas of concrete construction and repair.
