ABSTRACT
Practical and purposeful collaborative activity is an essential component of the implementation of such curricula, in line with the theories of social constructivism [Wood 98]. In England, video case studies [QCDA 09] designed to support teachers implementing the National Curriculum include using origami with 13-year-olds. In these case studies, the students worked together in groups and the lesson was led by older students.
