Description: OP-1 (osteogenic protein-1; also known as bone morpho genetic protein-7) is a recombinant human osteogenic protein that stimulates bone formation. It is produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells by recombinant DNA technology. Therapeutic Indications:
Osteogenic protein-1:BMP-7 is indicated in skeletally mature patients for the treatment of trauma-related fractures of the tibia that do not heal after 9 months of treatment and in cases in which autografts are not feasible or have failed.
