ABSTRACT

Description: OP-1 (osteogenic protein-1; also known as bone morpho genetic protein-7) is a recombinant human osteogenic protein that stimulates bone formation. It is produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells by recombinant DNA technology. The product is presented as a lyophilized powder to be resuspended with the provided solvent for implantation at the bone site via surgical procedure. Each vial contains 3.5 mg OP-1 and 1 g collagen

Therapeutic Indications:

Osteogenic protein-1:BMP-7 is indicated in skeletally mature patients for the treatment of trauma-related fractures of the tibia that do not heal after 9 months of treatment and in cases in which autografts are not feasible or have failed.
