ABSTRACT
The use of endovascular surgery in the trauma patient is becoming more popular and superior
to conventional surgery in certain situations. Like open surgery, endovascular surgery can be
both diagnostic and therapeutic. This chapter focuses on the role of endovascular therapy in the
management of vascular injuries to the neck and extremities. Peripheral injuries account for
80% of all cases of vascular trauma.
