ABSTRACT
In April 2017 a concert to celebrate Allen Paul was organised by his friends. This included his ex-wife who was travelling from Malaga, Spain where she now lives. Paul had not seen some of the people attending the concert for 30 years. He spelt out that the friends told the story of his musical life through song. Paul was meant to leave the Raphael Hospital and return home by the end of June 2016, but this did not happen. He and Liz were waiting for continuing health care from his local authority to provide money for the care package. For a while Paul stopped having music therapy at the RMC but he communicated that he wanted to have it again. The therapy consisted of the music therapist seeing Paul on a one-to-one basis and playing music and songs of Paul's choice.
