ABSTRACT
Iranian artist Mamali Shafahi embodies the figure of the artist-curator: he creates works of art, organises their exhibition and dissemination, and even markets the works of other artists. For artists and curators of the Middle East, transnational mobility provides access to new resources while also shaping their subjective experience as creators.
