ABSTRACT
Throughout the world, healthcare facilities of all kinds are engaging the performing arts as a means of making healthcare environments more welcoming and uplifting (State of the Field Committee, 2009). The field of arts and health is providing more professional opportunities for fine and performing artists alike, and many healthcare settings are more like community cultural centers as they host daily arts activities and performances.
