Explain Everything is an interactive screencasting whiteboard that enables the user to explain and demonstrate ideas, knowledge and learning through narration and description. Explain Everything is a simple, but incredibly powerful app to use. The interface is minimal with the tools placed down the left-hand side and at the bottom of the screen. The layout is similar to that of both Promethean and Smart whiteboards, which makes it an intuitive app for both teachers and children. The app allows the user to animate their thinking by presenting ideas visually, or by using audio recordings to voiceover presentations, video or text. The app's forward-facing camera means that presentations can be shared in real time with a recording function that allows the user to present their thinking to a live audience. There are three separate toolbars at the bottom of the screen: the navigation toolbar, the screen recording toolbar and a smaller share/save and home toolbar.
