ABSTRACT

The Preparing Phase is similar to the final phase of what Fullan calls the Initiation Phase of change and innovation adoption. The primary outcome of the Preparing Phase is to ensure that everyone involved is adequately ready to begin the next phase——Operationalizing. The Operationalizing Phase primarily focuses on the innovation being adopted by individuals into their practice in different ways and not necessarily at the same rate. The author acknowledges that determining equipment resource needs may be beyond the scope of reader professional responsibilities. The author do believe, however, that as a change agent the reader are in a position to advocate for the necessary equipment resources that educators should have to adopt the innovation. However, professional learning should continue throughout the innovation adoption process. Professional learning is integral to Operationalizing and Sustaining the innovation adoption.
