ABSTRACT

Photorefractive nonlinear optics has been developed into a big and active research field due to its numerous application potentials. For example, it can be used for real-time optical holographic data storage, image amplification, optical information processing, optical computing, optical neural network, and so on [1]. Photorefractive effect can be produced in electro-optic and photoconductive materials. These materials mainly belong to the following groups [2]: ferroelectric crystals, the sillenites, semiconductors, and organic polymers. Materials in different groups usually have quite different characteristics.
