ABSTRACT
In this chapter we shall discuss the factors which have to be considered before you start to plan a lesson and analyse some different approaches to planning. The planning process will be illustrated by extracts taken from a lesson planned and taught by a mentor and observed by the student. Issues to do with longer term planning will then be considered.
