Some plastics are soft and flexible, others hard and brittle, and many are strong and tough. Some have good thermal and electrical properties, while others are poor in these respects. Crystal-clear plastics are available, while others can be produced in an extremely wide range of colours. Most plastics can be easily shaped using heat or pressure or both.
