ABSTRACT
The faces of the joints in face brickwork may be finished either by ‘jointing’ i.e. finishing the joint as the wall is built, or by ‘pointing’ i.e. raking out the joints while still soft to a depth of at least 13mm and then filling the joints with different mortar at a later stage.
