ABSTRACT
This essay will explore the ways in which new factories can respond to issues related to energy and water consumption, use of materials, and other sustainability strategies in this era of climate change. A series of case studies will be explored highlighting their sustainable measures and industrial eco-systems. The potential of these strategies for factories in urban areas will be discussed.
