ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the impacts and effects of a star architectural project. Although star architectural projects consist of many different elements and produce a wide range of effects, this chapter will focus on the effects of the architecture, in this case iconic star architecture. On the basis of the case study Kunsthaus Graz in Austria, we discuss the effects of the star architecture on 1) the function, that is, the program of the exhibition house, 2) on the operating institution, and 3) on the city.
