ABSTRACT
The study aims to rewrite history from a perspective that discloses and documents the effective participation and experiences of women, who played a major part in history making, but did not participate in the act of writing history. Narrating women’s experiences challenges and leads to an interaction with dominant discourses’ stereotyping portraits of female vulnerability and subordination. It contributes to the production of an alternative discourse, which makes women visible and gives them a voice.
