ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a few projects for experiential learning in the classroom to enhance student's experience of the global business environment along with a brief overview of key concepts in international business. The first project is on country profiles, and gives students valuable practice at finding information on countries and putting this information into a useful format. The second project deals with export decisions, and gives students the opportunity to look at potential export markets and make decisions regarding addressing such markets. Students are assigned a product to investigate and a country to consider as an export market. The third project is about investment decisions, and gives a student the opportunity to apply theories and models regarding investment decisions to a realistic situation. The project on parent country nationals (PCN), host country nationals (HCNs), and third country nationals (TCNs) helps to decide on the appropriate nationality for managing a subsidiary in a particular location.
