ABSTRACT

Prior chapters contain a foundation of knowledge and practice applicable to supply chain management (SCM) projects. Knowledge is what is known about the field. Practice refers to actions that build on that knowledge. Chapters 2 through 4 addressed knowledge areas and practices for SCM. Chapters 5 through 8 covered both SCM and project management knowledge and practice. These include the Project Management Maturity Model (PMMM), the Supply-Chain Council’s

Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR-model), Supply Chain Manage ment Process Standards (Process Standards) from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and project management knowledge areas embodied in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
