ABSTRACT

Tom Galt challenged his fifth-and sixth-grade readers to think about the possibility of being able to elect our UN delegates, much as we now elect candidates for Congress. The author explains that when he was appointed to a committee to design and launch the Federalist Caucus, he included on the registration form a statement to which any registrant could respond, if he or she wished to do so. The author's first proposal is simply to apply ourselves to this task by inviting everyone we know to consider adding their names to the roster of supporters that the Federalist Caucus already maintains. The second proposal is encourage anyone interested in this – and in helping to strengthen PGA’s mandate on behalf of our common future (whether or not they may also be interested in the eventual possibility of directly electing UN or other world-level delegates) – to register with the Federalist Caucus/Citizens Global Action as soon as possible.
