Note: Metal contamination or prolonged storage in glass vessel exposed to light will result in a solution that would degrade Cy5.
• 2 M HEPES
4.77 g HEPES-free acid in 10 mL water
Filter sterilize
Store at room temperature for up to 3 months
• 0.1 M Na2CO3
0.53g in 50 mL water
• 0.1 M sodium bicarbonate pH 9.0
4.2 g of NaHCO3 in 500 mL water (pH should be about 8.5)
Adjust pH to 9.0 by adding 0.1 M Na2CO3 (25-30 mL)
Filter-sterilize the buffer
Note: Recommend making fresh, although it may be dispensed into aliquots and stored at –20°C for up to 2 months.
