ABSTRACT

The executive summary is a short description of the poll in a manner that is readable and understandable for everyone. It consists of two parts: the research question and the conclusions. The executive summary should be short and should consist of no more than a few pages. It must be readable and understandable by the commissioner of the poll. The methodological account is the methodological part of the report. It must address a number of aspects of the poll. A poll should ultimately produce some kind of research report. For a small poll, only a few pages may be sufficient. But larger polls may require a substantial report. The results of a poll are often presented by means of graphs. A graph can be powerful instrument for conveying the message contained in the data, particularly for those without knowledge of statistics.
