ABSTRACT

Dazed with the kaleidoscopic motley of our colourful campaigning through the high streets and byways of our district, the parents should now be softened up and ready to cross the school portals; which is an indirect reminder that not every school, let alone every teacher, would be expected to try every technique, and the same applies to the plethora of proposals for welcoming the parents into the school. It is pleasant to enrol successful or famous persons to help a school. In Liverpool, when Home-School Harry was operating in ‘Support Our Schools’ week, he threw a huge party for the parent-teacher-pupil delegations of several schools, some five hundred people in total. Several schools now ensure that all children appear in the school entertainment, but, in a sizeable school, even this contribution may look a little lost to the parent.
