This chapter presents reactions to injury case of Jenna Cousteau, a high school wrestler who suffered an ulnar collateral ligament tear, with a complicated recovery. The biopsychosocial model of sport injury rehabilitation (Brewer et al., 2002) is introduced as a theoretical foundation, and details of how the combination of Jenna’s return-to-sport concerns, life stress, and limited social support impact her reactions to injury and subsequent recovery. The chapter then focuses on examining how an interprofessional team composed of Jenna’s athletic trainer, coach, and sport psychology consultant coordinate to develop a comprehensive plan to tackle these factors. The contribution of each team member, including specific exercises is highlighted, and ethical considerations and referral needs are also addressed. Finally, the chapter concludes with an update on Jenna’s progress at the six-month mark.
