ABSTRACT

In a society run by directive, power is based on a set of rules so numerous as to encompass and immunize citizens’ lives totally from the cradle to the grave-and, in those cases of posthumous rehabilitation of innocent people who were executed, even beyond the grave. Despite this attention (or is it because of it?), the majority of citizens in ‘existing socialism’ stand in opposition to their own governments while putting up passively with all this bossing about. Why? The easiest answer would be: from fear. But this is neither an accurate nor a convincing answer.
