ABSTRACT
This paper gives a brief outline of concepts and practices on reconstruction from the perspectives of African Religion. The author grounds the analysis in the creedal affirmations of different African religious traditions that affirm God to be the creator who sustains and governs all things, thus central to reconstruction of society. The author then argues that the central focus on the work of God in the lives of Africans establishes the basis for an ethical approach to live which enables people not only to establish social bonds but also to resolve conflicts and build peaceful social relations.
