ABSTRACT

What educational scientists and people dealing with pedagogy in theory and practice are really good at is to maintain status quo or to forget the complexity of the past. When the politicians and the leader of the state have declared that the well-being index would be progressing every year, then people who want to have educational institutional success, in the eyes of the politicians, must back up with qualitative data what they have stated along with quantitative data. Visible Learning paradigm has been used as one of the prime sources of inspiration to give the government, and the leading educational politicians, the needed and wanted scientific legitimation to design and implement the national school reform in Denmark 2013—2014. The critics call the standard one-size-fits-all educational thinking a ‘pure’ pedagogy while they favor a so-called ‘impure’ pedagogy. It has been said in educational politics that teaching can be data driven.
