ABSTRACT
A tunnel lining is often submitted to hydrostatic pressure. This solution can be installed behind the tunnel lining, for example a fiber reinforced shotcrete layer or spray membrane. The patented network drain module is encapsulated in the concrete, so the lining will be monolithic. This makes it possible to design a slim structure, with a network of drain channels inside. Once installed, it does not have a limited life span. Low LCC makes it very cost-effective. Quick and safe repair after physical damage requires minimal downtime of tunnel. The solution is installed without the use of anchorage and constitutes no fire hazard. The design is made from recycle material or sustainable biodegradable material and is therefore a solution for the future.
