ABSTRACT

Groenewald et al. (2001) described an Early Triassic, Driekoppen Formation, Beaufort Group, South African burrow system with branches and widths suggesting that more than one therapsid (Trirachodeon, with skulls found in terminal portions at one locality) individual occupied the burrow system; this may represent a colonial therapsid in the same league, in a way, as the famous South African mole rats.
