ABSTRACT

How can religious commitment be preserved in the midst of postmodern higher education? How can college and university administrators help nurture global citizens for the twenty-first century who will be part of the solution of interreligious bigotry and violence rather than part of the problem? These two critical issues are addressed creatively in the chapters of this section, with important implications for crafting college and university contexts that will support both religious commitment and global citizenship. There is a fascinating connection between the pedagogical paradigm of fallibilism and the development of an ecumenical worldview too, which invites further exploration.
