ABSTRACT

Approaches to design are changing. Glasses as well as other wearable fashion items need not be restricted to traditional approaches in their creation, wherein flat components are manufactured and faceted together to create the final item. 3D printing technology approaches allow for manufacture of said items in single flexible pieces, reducing manufacture time and allowing for new design approaches to be envisioned. Sunglasses, while being a practical item that a person would wear to protect their eyes from the sun, are also a fashion statement. Therefore, new design approaches need to be explored.
