ABSTRACT
There are several state and federal laws and regulations that can protect LGBT older adults from harm and discrimination in senior living settings, as well as ensuring their privacy. This chapter outlines these protections, some troubling trends activists worry may impact LGBT older adults in the coming years, and key considerations for maintaining an LGBT person’s privacy while also making sure staff have the information they need to provide person-centered care.
