ABSTRACT
The workers of the city are showing restraint, are strengthening the internationalist atmosphere in their collectives. The rhythm of labor has not been interrupted even for a minute. R. F. Eminbeili, formerly director of the 60th Anniversary of Soviet Azerbaidzhan Aluminum Plant in Sumgait, was chosen chairman of the Sumgait City Executive Committee of the Party. K. M. Bagirov, first secretary of the Azerbaidzhan Communist Party Central Committee, took part in the session and delivered a speech. The resolution adopted points out that the Sumgait city committee of the Party showed political shortsightedness and irresponsibility in organization of meeting the orders of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the directives contained in M. S. Gorbachev’s appeal to the working people and peoples of Azerbaidzhan and Armenia. A great deal of the blame for the tragic events which occurred falls personally on Comrade D. M. Muslim-Zade, first secretary of Sumgait city committee of the Party.
