ABSTRACT

This study examines the effect of formal education in developing entrepreneurial intentions among widyatama university students. Questionnaires distributed to students who have received entrepreneurship courses. The data collected were analyzed through SPSS and Structural Equation Modelling techniques using AMOS. Confirmatory factor analysis through AMOS is used to test the goodness of fit of the model and the hypotheses developed for the study. An interesting finding from this study revealed that formal education does not affect entrepreneurial intentions, while other findings reveal that attitude has a relationship with entrepreneurial intention. Since attitude is the mediation variable in this research, this research will examine the role of attitude as a mediation between formal education and entrepreneurial intention.
