ABSTRACT
Many mountainous old roads in the Tokai area are the road along the crest of the mountain ridge, which have been utilized since the Japanese Warring State Period (16 Century) or before.
Also, the said mountainous old roads used to being located far away from river and located on the top of mountainous slope.
