ABSTRACT
Termination is the most important and often overlooked phase of group therapy. Planning for termination during the screening and preparation process is an investment in group members having a positive, healing goodbye process that reinforces the progress they’ve made. The author’s sample goodbye letter, along with an overview of different departures types, helps leaders make the most of this time of rich opportunity.
