Since,accordingtomystory,Parmenides'ideashavehadsopowerfula gripupontheevolutionofscientificideas,itgoeswithoutsayingthatIam notonlyanadmirerofParmenides,butalso(aswasMeyerson)highly appreciativeofhisinfluence.Indeed,admiringorappreciatingtheideasof both'classical'and'modern'physicsis,accordingtomystory,almostthe samethingasappreciatingtheinfluenceofParmenideanideas.
