ABSTRACT
My search tor Elvis began three years ago when I moved to Memphis and began my personal immersion in the aura that Elvis left there. I grew up in Hollywood, so the complementary atmosphere of stardom and fandom in Memphis seemed familiar to me. The only difference was, there was just one star—Elvis Presley.
