ABSTRACT
Gender roles are key to understanding sex and gender in organizations; one aspect of gender roles concerns expectations for social and sexual relationships. Those who are romantically and sexually attracted to others of the same sex may be subjected to isolation, harassment, or discrimination if their status is perceived to violate important norms. This chapter considers sexual orientation as one aspect of D&I in work organizations.
