ABSTRACT
A folktale says that if a couple put a penny in the jar for every time they have sex during their first year of marriage and take a penny out each time they have sex afterward, there will be money left. This illustrates the myth that during the first year love and sex flow with no problems. The road to marital frustration and alienation is paved with myths and unrealistic expectations.
