This chapter examines how the Early Learning Initiative (ELI), a community-based educational project in the National College of Ireland (NCI), shares the learning from its action research based process with local, national and international audiences. Communicating with others is an integral part of the part of ELI's action research process. As the bridge between different interest groups, ELI engages in a disciplined and structured way with a range of local, national and international stakeholders on issues of mutual interest. Analysing and reflecting on what we have learned through action research develops our reflective, relational and representational knowledge, which, in turn, enables us to generate new knowledge and contribute to the growing knowledge base that informs policy and practices in Ireland. Networking with other practitioners, researchers and policy makers enables us to challenge our assumptions and provides us with fresh insights into our theories, practice and the communities in which we work.
