ABSTRACT
So far we have examined what presenters do as they engage with the audience during topic-talk and contrasted it with what they do during the pause between sections, or bits of topic-talk. However, the question arises as to how presenters move from talking on a topic to not talking, and how they start talking again after they have not been talking for a period of time. This chapter will address these two issues.
