ABSTRACT

Phosphorus heterocycles are promising building blocks existing in numerous functional materials (Baumgartner and Réau 2006, Hirai et al. 2019), such as luminogenic molecules (Zhen et al. 2018), optoelectronics (Wu et al. 2019), semiconductors, and bioimaging probes (Tsuji et al. 2009). Also, they are used as synthetic intermediates in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry (Börner 2008, Mathey 2004). In addition, Si-heterocycles have gained much interest in recent years because of their applications in light-emitting materials, thin-film transistors, host materials for electroluminescent devices, and solar cells (Lu et al. 2008).
