ABSTRACT
Having criticized the efforts of the plant manager we will now attempt the much more difficult task of giving him some positive advice. We will suggest what he should have done in order to obtain a set of data from which valid conclusions could be drawn. Armed with this advice he would be in a much stronger position should he decide to abandon his original experiment and to make a fresh start.
