ABSTRACT
Vibrational spectroscopy has been extensively used in both qualitative and quanti-
tative pharmaceutical analyses. In dermatopharmaceutics, these spectroscopic
methods can be applied in the following way:
1. For studying the structure of the stratum corneum (SC) lipids on a molecular
level and
2. For investigating the substance penetration into and through the skin.
