ABSTRACT

When i entered the Reinhardt Theater, I found myself in a gathering of several hundred young people who were seeking to be admitted to the theater school. They stood together in groups, with shining, questioning, inquisitive eyes, dressed in their Sunday best, excited, talking, gesturing. Young people with dreams and ambitions, with the hope that the gates of art were about to open for them, that here they would cross the threshold into a new world, the world of the theater. But there in the lobby were the first barriers: the tables and chairs of the examining committee.
