ABSTRACT
All human beings have a need to communicate and interact with others and with their environment in order to meet their basic needs for food and shelter and their higher order needs for social contact. Communication is a vital part of learning, so children and young people who have difficulties in communication, for whatever reason, tend to have learning difficulties as a result.
