These particular Regulations are additional to all of the other requirements, and not alternatives to them.
While the Regulations apply to all electrical installations in buildings, there are also some indoor and out-of-doors special installations and locations that are subject to special requirements due to the extra dangers they pose. This chapter considers the requirements for these special locations and installations.
